The Pin Pallette

About

For this project, I created a catalog entirely from materials I already owned, photographing and writing descriptions for each piece myself. I focused on enamel pins, aiming to make the catalog feel as much like me as possible—playful, bold, and full of personality. The process of curating, editing, and designing the catalog was both fun and rewarding, allowing me to explore storytelling through objects I love.

Thoughts

This catalog was a blast to create, using enamel pins that were already favorites. Writing descriptions for each piece added personality and gave the pins their own little voice, making the catalog feel playful and unique. The most challenging part was color matching for the printer—balancing brightness and white levels proved tricky since monitors can be misleading—but working through it made the results even more satisfying. One of the biggest takeaways was that enjoying the process, rather than focusing solely on technical perfection, leads to a product that feels more authentic and rewarding. Overall, the little descriptions and curated images bring the collection to life, making the catalog as fun to explore as the pins themselves.
